Gosh it feels as if i have been away forever from here!

Finally our little treasure was safely delivered on 1st November at 17.36...

She weighed a dainty 6lbs 12.5oz at 37 weeks and we've named her Grace Therese.

I was so relieved I just sobbed once she was born and we are completely smitten by her.

We had been in hospital for two weeks prior to the birth and stayed there for 5 days afterwards so it was extremely emotional finally leaving and the midwives were all so kind and caring. We are staying in touch with two of them at least and will visit too.

So far we have been resting at home- the children were/are so overjoyed and excited and love cuddling her at all times.

We won't go out until she is Baptised- this Sunday so are having a few quiet days and lots of visitors....

Hope you are all as well as can be,

Love,

Amanda

PS- I will update the blog with the birth details, LOL!

Hi Amanda,

Lovely to see you posting on the forum. I`ve been looking at your pics of baby Grace and the rest of the family on Facebook - beautiful!!

Hope you have some peaceful days, and have a lovely day at the baptism of Grace Therese - I absolutely love her name! Theresa is my middle name, after my mam.

Take care,

Kathleen x

Hi Amanda,

It's lovely to hear that baby Grace is doing well, I'm sure you'll be fine when Mark goes back to work, you have plenty of willing little helpers!
Make sure you get lots of rest, you need to recover from the op.
Hope the baptism goes well on Sunday.

Love, Doreen xx

Lovely to hear from you Amanda! I'm sure your days are not really 'quiet' though! I had a special smile when I heard your news as I know what it is like to have a daughter after many boys! Wishing you all happy days, sleep and much joy XX Ailsa

Hi,

Baby Grace is now 3 weeks old and completely adorable- I barely do anything other than gaze at her and hold her!

The Baptism went beautifully and we had a lovely Mass afterwards and then a party with lots of bubbly and wine...yummy!

I am still tired out but the scar is very neat and healing brilliantly and I rarely need pain relief any more.

Praying most fervently the RA keeps away...

Love,

Amanda

Hi Amanda,

It's lovely to hear that you and baby Grace are doing so well.
Gosh, that 3 weeks seems to have gone quickly!
Glad the baptism went well and there was plenty of wine (just to wet the baby's head with of course).
Thinking of you and hoping the RA stays away for as long as possible.

Love, Doreen xx

Helo Amanda

I'm pleased to hear that the baptism went well. The last 3 weeks have gone quickly? It doesn't seem 2 minutes since you first announced you were expecting. Where has the time gone??

I hope and pray that you will be RA free.

Take care

Love

Hi Amanda

I'm a bit out of things at the moment so apologies for not being in touch.

Where has the time gone? So pleased Grace's baptism went well and you both continue to do well.

Think of you often and I really will catch up soon,
